Fungus Growing in Alamo Ranch Kitchen

Tear out needed for mold damaged kitchen.

The homeowners did not realize the water damage that happened a few days back was going to come back to haunt them. In order to save some money they rented a carpet cleaner and extracted the water themselves. It seemed to have done the job but four days later their walls were infested with mold. There were two problems they did not foresee:

1. The amount of time it took to rent a carpet cleaner allowed the water to wick up the walls.
2. No air movement or dehumidification was taken into consideration.

Overlooking the walls and slow evaporation allowed the mold time to grow. The entire bottom half of their drywall needed to be removed.
