Easter Sunday is here, one of the holiest days on the Christian calendar. Easter is the day that Christians believe that Christ rose from the dead, bringing eternal life to followers. Christ's resurrection, following his crucifixion on what is known as Good Friday, is a time of rejoicing and rebirth.

After Jesus was crucified on the Friday (now known as Good Friday), his body was taken down from the cross, and buried in a cave tomb. ... His followers realized that God had raised Jesus from the dead. Christians call this the Resurrection. The week leading up to Easter is called Holy Week.
